Week of Aug. 13-17

Welcome to Mrs. Viator's English and Religion BLOG!!

Thanks to all of you for making the first few days of school such a success.  I think we all left here  Friday with smiles on our faces, and I KNOW we are ready for Monday!  I enjoyed meeting so many of you at Open House Sunday afternoon, and hope to get to know you all better in the upcoming months. 

I will be posting on this BLOG every week to allow all to see what we will be covering within the week.  I will post any test/projects, as well as basic information on what Unit/Chapter we are covering.  I WILL NOT post daily assignments.  Daily assignments are always written on the board for the students to copy in the assignment pad.  We do have a test calendar in the hallway for the students to see any upcoming tests in a subjects.

ENGLISH - We will discuss questions to ask yourself to find subject, verb, adverb, direct object, and object of the preposition.  We will then begin with prepositions.   I am thinking we will have a short quiz on prepositions Friday, Aug, 17.  Spiral #1 will be handed out on Thursday, Aug. 16, and it will be due on Thursday, Aug. 23. 

WORDLY WISE - We will start Unit 1 Monday.  I will complete each section with the class.  Unit 1 test will be Aug. 23
