Final copy of research paper due May 1.
I will give until Tuesday to turn in DGP#2 as I have had several students with questions.  I will review the info again in class today and ask for all papers to be checked and returned on Tuesday.

English - Unit 7 test Thursday.  We will begin our research projects.  Students will pick a state on Friday.  Look for a "Research" folder to come home on Friday.

Wordly Wise - Lesson 10 test Wednesday

Religion - ACRE test Tuesday and Wednesday.  We will also be working on the passions of Christ.  Will have a matching test on Friday on the symbols and meanings of the passions.  We will make note cards in class as a study tool.

WEEK OF FEB 25- MAR 1

ENGLISH - Unit 6 (Pronouns) test Wednesday.  Be on the look out for our new DGP page to come home.  I will treat it just like a Spiral.  The students will have a week to complete and the paper will be worth 10 points.

WORDLY WISE - Lesson 9 test Thursday

RELIGION - Review unit.  Open book quiz Wednesday.

QUIZ CORRECTION!!!

It has been brought to my attention, that I "flip-flopped" two questions on the last English quiz (LS 14 and 15).  To rectify the mistake, I went in and changed the total points from 18 to 16, in other words.....gave everyone 2 bonus points.  If your child's paper was marked wrong or correct, everyone received the 2 points back.  So sorry for the mix up. 

WEEK OF JAN 7-11

WELCOME BACK!  I hope you all had a fun, restful, blessed holiday season!

Tuesday - DARE graduation.  Parents are welcome to attend.  The program will start at 1:30 and be held in the Old Gym.

ENGLISH - "How To" flow map.  We will be talking about steps to writing a good paper.  One step is to PLAN.  To hep with this, we will be doing a flow map with a recipe.  On FRIDAY, JAN. 11, the students will be allowed to bring their creation for the class to share.  THIS IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL!!!  BRINGING THE TREAT WILL NOT BE PART OF THE GRADE!!!  The treats have to be nut free and can't be anything that needs to be heated or kept cool.  I will provide the plates and a Capri Sun for each student.  I am asking that if you choose to send a treat that it already be cut and ready to serve.  (each class has 31 students)  The treat brought must be the one from the flow map.
